Long Friday

Having previously collaborated with Anna Hedworth & team on Cookhouse, in Ouseburn, we were thrilled when we were approached to develop their design and fit-out for their second restaurant, Long Friday, in Jesmond.

The design focuses on warmth, comfort and contrast with a tasteful colour palette and collection of texture choices. Tall bar tables occupy the window spaces for visitors to sit at and enjoy incorporating bespoke Turkish white tiles and ochre grout.

The cosy neighbourhood eatery aims to invite spontaneity, serving up small plates and specialist wine. Exterior furniture is made out of compact laminate and entices customers to enjoy food and drinks outside complemented by terrazzo tiles at the entry of the restaurant and a balustrade surrounding the outside eating space. The back of the bar is custom lit to highlight bottle storage and the laser cut signage of the restaurant which is also displayed on the exterior of Long Friday.
