Power of Body and Mind

With Olivia Turner & Pavandeep Rai funded by Newcastle University at Cragside

Power of Body and Mind by Olivia Turner and Pavandeep Rai was homed at Cragside during August earlier in the year. The work examines the relationship between Cragside, built to harness the power of nature and mitochondria, the natural power-producing elements of our bodies. 

The project was funded by Newcastle University and is part of the National Trust’s Women and Power programme for 2018.

We manufactured the CNC parts which were a combination of cut and engraved profiles. The parts are arranged to make up the monumental pelvis structure.
