Pratt Bench

Made for a regular client, this piece sits somewhere between seat and sculpture. A custom two-way hinge, CNC-milled from solid aluminium, allows it to move in both directions - a functional detail that also shapes the overall form.

The structure is built from blocks of Iroko, intersected by a single Tatajuba panel. The contrast in grain and colour creates a visual shift across the surface.
